On NYLON's facebook, it claim's to be 'the most awesome magazine in the world'. If your anything like me, you were curious about NYLON Magazine too. I first spotted it at a Walgreens (ONLY at Walgreens) and it's crazy bold colors and headlines grabbed my attention. Not to mention how almost every issue's cover is of someone I've never heard of and posing in a very uncommon position. So after examining the magazine and hefty price tag in store, I decided the best, logical option to explore a magazine I had a suspicion I might like was to subscibe. A normal subscription to NYLON Magazine is $14.99, but with a simple "like" on Facebook I got my 1 year subscription for a solid $10. Here's a quick breakdown of the magazine...
PROS
Even the adds are better.
Interesting reads.
Lot's of information on high fashion, designers, designer colaborations, high end cosmetics, music and television.
CONS
Pointless articles.
VERY hipster.
Quicktake: Teen Vogue's hipster sister. If you want to read a fashion magazine for the modern girl, either Teen Vogue or NYLON would be great for you. You'll have to decide what one's best for you.
